Ondanueve String Quartet

Four strings, a language that crosses jazz, rock, pop and Mediterranean traditions.

String quartet · quartet with drums and percussion

The live project

Ondanueve String Quartet brings to the stage a contemporary idea of the string quartet, capable of crossing different genres and languages while maintaining a strong musical identity. Andrea Esposito and Paolo Sasso on violins, Luigi Tufano on viola and Marco Pescosolido on cello build a sound in which the classical formation meets rhythm, contamination and research, to the point of expanding with drums and percussion.

Dalla original music at thematic concerts, each program is born as a true musical journey. Viaggio, Boundary Line and Mutazioni also describe this research on a recording level. The quartet is also active in the Candlelight circuit, with programs dedicated to different repertoires and artists.

In addition to its concert activity, Ondanueve boasts a long experience alongside artists on the Italian and international scene, with collaborations and accompaniments that include Tosca, Giovanni Truppi, Colella, Amii Stewart, John Cale and many others, as well as recordings for soundtracks and audiovisual productions.

For theatres, festivals and exhibitions, Ondanueve offers original concerts, thematic programs and projects built in dialogue with the artistic direction.
